Vintage Japanese Small Gold & Silver Ceremonial Sensu Fan Original Box Nov18-L
This lovely little ceremonial sensu fan was made by one of Kyoto's many renown fan makers.
It is made of foil-covered paper - gold on one side and silver on the other. It has glossy black lacquered
bamboo struts.
It is in perfect condition in its original box.
It measures 9
” or 24cm across when open and 6
" or 15cm long when closed.
This is a type used for ceremonial occasions such as tea ceremony or weddings. See photos for other details…

Note that due to reduced flights, JAPAN POST has suspended Air Parcel service to the USA, Australia and a few other countries (Europe is not effected). It is not known how long this will last but in the meantime, we are using JAPAN POST SURFACE mail which has tracking and insurance but can take about 60 days to the USA.
Alternatively, for an additional charge, YAMATO INTERNATIONAL offers extremely fast door to door service for a flat-rate for their various size boxes. The smallest “60cm” box is to most countries, can hold up to two kg and measures 27 X 19 X 19cm and arrives in about a week.
