which is one of Kyoto’s most famous fan makers. It has been in business in the same location for generations
.
This fan has beautiful hand-painted floral circles on a
gold striped
background. It has smoked bamboo struts with weights.
It measures about 19” or 49cm from tip to tip when open and is 11” or about 28cm long when closed. It comes in its original storage box (box has torn corners and repairs) and packaging from the Kyosendo shop.
Gold is very difficult to photograph accurately and the photos don’t show its full beauty...

Condition:
Lightly used and perfectly sound with only very minor edge wear or bends. It has a subtle patina of age which makes it extra stunning!

Note that due to reduced flights, JAPAN POST has suspended Air Parcel service to the USA, Australia and a few other countries (Europe is not effected). It is not known how long this will last but in the meantime, we are using JAPAN POST SURFACE mail which has tracking and insurance but can take about 60 days to the USA.
Alternatively, for an additional charge, YAMATO INTERNATIONAL offers extremely fast door to door service for a flat-rate for their various size boxes. The smallest “60cm” box is to most countries, can hold up to two kg and measures 27 X 19 X 19cm and arrives in about a week.
