Vintage Japanese Geisha Odori ‘Maiogi' Folding Dance Fan from Kyoto: Feb17-C

one of Kyoto’s most renown fan makers that has been making fans since 1703.
It is sturdy and sound without any structural issues and looks great. It is either for dance practice or for display...
Is is beige on one side with a poem and a green cloud design on the back. The bamboo struts are finished in natural clear lacquer. It measures:
18” or 46cm across when open and 11” or 28cm long when closed. It comes in its original box with the label from the maker.
It is used and has minor edge wear in a few places so we are selliing this as a ‘vintage' item. We have taken it’s quality & condition into consideration in the price. See photos for other details… The first two photos show each side of the fan.

Note that due to reduced flights, JAPAN POST has suspended Air Parcel service to the USA, Australia and a few other countries (Europe is not effected). It is not known how long this will last but in the meantime, we are using JAPAN POST SURFACE mail which has tracking and insurance but can take about 60 days to the USA.
Alternatively, for an additional charge, YAMATO INTERNATIONAL offers extremely fast door to door service for a flat-rate for their various size boxes. The smallest “60cm” box is to most countries, can hold up to two kg and measures 27 X 19 X 19cm and arrives in about a week.
