Beautiful vintage teacup and saucer set made by Shelley, England
Prized QUEEN ANNE shape with its octagonal shape and offsetting saucer
I have named the pattern "RED ROOF COUNTRY COTTAGE"
Pattern 2115
Hand painted details over transfer with enamelled details
Note the butterflies and dragonflies which complement the primary pattern
As well, note the details of the handpainting, including the bright orange trim
The identical shape (and a similar pattern called "COTTAGE") is shown on pages 66 and 67 of "Collecting Shelley Pottery" by Robert Prescott-Walker
Both cup and saucer are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines or other damage; the cup rings perfectly clear, but the saucer does not ring as clear (it is not a dead thud), but I have examined carefully and can find no hairlines or cracks - it is obviously an internal flaw
Very bright unfaded transfer with only very minimal wear noted
Teacup measures 3 7/8" across (including handle) and is 2 3/4" tall; saucer is 5 1/2"" across
Both pieces marked with typical SHELLEY shield mark in green with pattern  2115 and shape registration number 723404 shown in photo
Condition is clearly noted in above description. Please read thoroughly and examine all photos carefully.
