Description
I am pleased to offer a very rare vintage teacup and saucer set made by Shelley, England
This one is in the rare HARLEQUIN design featuring black and gold panels
Simply stunning
Baby blue and gold panels on the cup, which is the early footed DAINTY shap from the 1930s
Note that the cup handle is completely gold gilded
The saucer is not the normal Dainty shape - however, it is an absolutely perfect color match
Both pieces trimmed in gold
Pattern number 11777/G10
Mint overall condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, staining, repairs or restoration on either piece - both cup and saucer pass the "ping" test of bone china
A few tiny scratches to the burnished gold commensurate with age
Teacup measures 4 1/4" across (including handle) and is 2 3/8" tall at sides; saucer is 5 5/8" across
Both pieces marked with  Shelley England  shield mark in green with cup having 11777/G10  hand painted in dark red as shown in photo
