Here is a lovely hand painted pottery casserole or baking dish from Boleslawiec of Poland in the Americana pattern. The piece has a stars and stripes design in red and blue around the inside and outside on an off-white background. The piece is 9 7/8 inches long and 6 7/8 inches wide. The piece is marked on the bottom: Boleslawiec (B back stamp) Hand Made in Poland. Also has 2 original stickers (see photos). Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or stains, was only displayed and not used. Will quickly ship USPS. Love to combine shipping. Thanks.
History: Boleslawiec stoneware originated as folk art in the early 1800’s. Today, in the small village of Boleslawiec Poland, skilled artisans are creating the world's most sought-after stoneware designs. By cutting nature-inspired shapes into dried sea sponges from the Mediterranean Sea, the artist hand-applies the designs.
